India is starting to develop super specialized approach to hospital care. Most of the major financial cities already are seeing the greater focus towards super specialized care and the Central Government is looking for means to promote it in the country.

Increase in foreign investment and private equity deals are assisting in the development of a more robust health sector. There is also a rise in the day care surgical model n India with estimates that 60% of all surgeries can be accomplished through this model thereby reducing the overall cost for delivering services to local and global patients.

While quality issues have been of concern in the past, the recent expansion of the number of NABH accredited hospitals, their training program expansion and the nationwide recognition of the importance of transparency in quality standards is estimated to improve outcomes and reduce patient safety concerns in Tier I through Tier II facilities.
