The Medical Tourism Association Gets Social with the Medical Tourism Community

Industry News

The Medical Tourism Association restructures their social media outlets to spread the word for the 4th Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress.

As a global leader, the Medical Tourism Association (MTA) has been an early and eager adopter of social media. These tools have enabled the Medical Tourism Association to share developments and updates on MTA activities like the 4th Annual World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress 2011 with the world.

But, more importantly, social media allows the MTA to listen directly and immediately to members, attendees, sponsors, and friends about what is important to them. This conversation is what makes social media so different from traditional forms of industry communication.

Medical Tourism Association's primary official social media presences are:

  • Congress Networking Software: http://networking2011.medicaltourismcongress.com/
  • YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/medicaltourism1
  • Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/medicaltourismassociation
  • Twitter: http://twitter.com/medtour
  • LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/renee-marie-stephano/a/683/b43
  • Medical Tourism City: http://www.medicaltourismcity.com/
  • WordPress: http://www.medicaltourismmag.com/news/
  • SlideShare: http://www.slideshare.net/reneemariestephano

For its fourth installment, the World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress and the MTA invested significantly to design the customized Networking software using the valuable feedback of past Congress attendees. This networking platform allows the user to connect with their existing online connections from LinkedIn and Twitter, promote their profile online, network with all attendees and pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with key industry players from around the world. Within 24-hours of its release, over 250 Congress attendees signed on and began networking in preparation for October's event.

The conference is the dedicated annual event of the Medical Tourism Association, the nonprofit trade association in the Medical Tourism industry, http://www.medicaltourismassociation.com and media partner Medical Tourism Magazine, http://www.medicaltourismmag.com, the only dedicated magazine for the medical tourism and global healthcare industry, and by Medical Tourism City, www.medicaltourismcity.com, a social network for the medical tourism and global healthcare industry with over one thousand participants from over sixty countries.

The 4th World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress will also feature four additional conferences, the Global Benefits Conference, http://www.globalbenefitsconference.com, focusing on international employers and insurance companies, the Healthcare Development Conference, http://www.healthcaredevelopmentconference.com , focusing on the growth of medical tourism in the healthcare sector and the building and development of healthcare facilities around the world, the Healthcare Investment Conference, http://www.healthcareinvestmentconference.com , creating awareness about healthcare investment opportunities around the world and the Health and Wellness Conference, http://www.wellnessconference.com focusing on the continuous growing health and wellness industry.
