The 4th Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress Announces Strategic Initiatives for Successful Industry Growth

Chicago, Illinois: October 11, 2011: The 4th Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress, with several parallel conferences taking place at the Renaissance Marriot Schaumberg Hotel & Convention Center October 25-28, 2011 has launched various successful strategic initiatives to foster the growth of Global Benefits, Healthcare Development & Medical Tourism industries.

Explaining the initiative, Renée-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association said, “From the last three years, we have witnessed nothing but tremendous growth. After careful research, evaluation and planning, we injected some innovative ideas to provide value to all our participants who traveled from across the globe.”

The strategic initiatives include partially integrating the Employer Healthcare Congress, hosting VIP Government roundtables, implementing technically advanced networking software for pre-scheduled private networking meetings, delivering global healthcare leadership awards, and providing Chicago healthcare site tours.

The meticulous agenda for the event features star keynote speakers and enhanced educational workshops which cover the essentials and the future of these industries.

“This year’s congresses have the most extensive agenda of any other international healthcare and insurance conferences known. We have brought in some amazing keynote speakers including the President of the AMA, Director International Benefits for Google, and one of the top social media experts in the world,” Renée-Marie further added, also reporting that attendance of buyers is at an all time high and energy about the event is strong.

Successfully entering it’s fourth year, this gala gathering of world leaders attracts participation from over 90 countries from various sectors including government representatives, global healthcare leaders, insurance industry giants, medical tourism industry stakeholders and healthcare management professionals.

On October 25, 2011 the Congress will host the Ministerial Roundtable which will bring together government officials to sign a Declaration of Cooperation in International Healthcare. The MTA will also announce its Patients Care Protocols, the launch pad for their International Patient Services Certification Program.

“International Accreditation of medical facilities is important to ensure patient safety standards providing an underlying strong basis for medical services to patients. The missing link, however, has been the communication and education of patients about the services available unique to traveling patients and the provision of those services to patients.

We intend to fill that missing link,” said Ms. Stephano.

For the Global Benefits Conference and World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress, advancing relationships is par for the course. The MTA has scheduled a private meeting of insurance companies to be held during the congress with other industry players to execute a Memorandum of Understanding for ongoing collaboration with these companies to exchange information and gather data from Association members.

The conference will end with site tours of Chicago Hospitals arranged by the Governor of Illinois bringing foreign buyers of healthcare and dignitaries to see the high quality healthcare available at Chicago Hospitals bringing significant revenue to the city of Chicago and state of Illinois.
