Destination Booth Branding Awarded to Turkey and Colombia

Industry News

The 5th World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress (WMT & GHC) recognized two conference sponsors for having the best destination booths for integrated country branding in the exhibit hall; these sponsors were given a leadership award during the farewell reception held at the event.

The awards for best exhibition booth were purely impromptu, while all the booths in the hall were nicely done, the two winners really stood out, not only because they were larger and looked great, but because they represented medical tourism success, said Renée-Marie Stephano, president of the Medical Tourism Association (MTA).

The two countries that received this award understand how important it is to brand your destination; they stop at nothing to promote the brand of their country and they did not fall short in the WMT & GHC exhibit hall.

This year's WMT & GHC leadership award for Excellence in Booth Exhibition went to ProExport Colombia, Turkish Healthcare Travel Council (THTC) and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Healthcare.

It was decided at the conference to show appreciation for the dedication and success that these organizations have had in bringing their exhibitions each year in beauty and in numbers.

One of the MTA's initiatives is our Destination Branding Program, the belief and proven results that support of all of the destination stakeholders is an integral part of its industry sustainability and success. As a supporter of integrated destination branding, the MTA was honored to offer this prestigious award to its recipients.
